Visit us today!Diners rave about the consistently crispy batter that coats their fish, which manages to be light yet satisfying. Portion sizes are generous; even a medium fish and chips often suffices for two. The freshness of the fish is frequently highlighted along with the delectable mushy peas, which many note are not out of a can, delivering an authentic taste. Customers love the range of tasty sauces, especially the curry sauce and the house-made tartare sauce that elevate the meal to new heights. The location is another huge plus; enjoying some fish and chips while watching the waves is an unbeatable experience.
Some customers report occasional wait times during peak hours, which can be frustrating, especially for those on a tight schedule. The seating can become limited during busy periods, making it difficult for families or groups to dine comfortably together. A few diners have also expressed their desire for additional vegetarian options beyond what is currently available, which some believe could attract a wider audience. Moreover, while the outdoor seating is charming, it may not be ideal on windy or rainy days, limiting the comfort for some diners.
Really good fish and chips as they should be - freshly cooked, crispy battered fish and lovely chips. We've lived long enough to have been disappointed too many times when having this so-called 'national dish', when you're served a mass of greasy, slimy stodge. Not here. They were great and to be recommended.
An excellent chippy, had the best battered sausage in there, tempura style batter I think! Kids loved the chips (no salt) and I thought the free lunch tea or coffee is a brilliant idea!
Fantastic fish n chips! We ordered a large cod and it was huge - the fish tasted so fresh and the batter was crunchy and chips really hot - perfect in every way. Best of all was eating it on a bench watching the sun go down over the sea
Excellent friendly chippy with very crispy, non-greasy batter 😋 A medium fish and chips was big enough for the two of us (with a battered sausage🤭)
Fish was light and fresh, mushy peas were clearly NOT out of a can, very tasty, and the curry sauce was spot on. Nice local and honest fish and chip shop.
Phenomenal fish and chips give it a try everyone, I have had this as a favourite for nearly 10 years and it never fails to deliver the quality I've come to know. Thank you all the staff 🙏
